Amazonite is the blue-green variety of microcline feldspar, its soothing turquoise color often crossed by fine white lines of albite. Named after the Amazon River, its classic sources are actually Colorado, Russia and Madagascar. At 6–6.5 on the Mohs scale it polishes into wonderfully tactile cabochons and beads.Every amazonite at GEMIC Institute is natural, individually photographed and certified by our Siem Reap laboratory. Each stone is one of a kind and ships worldwide with tracking, backed by our 30-day inspection period.
