A Royal Visit by Princess Benedikte of Denmark

On 17 June 2026, the Gemological Institute of Cambodia (GEMIC) had the honour of welcoming Her Royal Highness Princess Benedikte of Denmark to its boutique and museum in Siem Reap.

A member of the Danish royal family, Princess Benedikte is the sister of Her Majesty Queen Margrethe II and the aunt of His Majesty King Frederik X. She is well known for representing the Danish monarchy at official engagements around the world.

It was a true privilege to welcome Her Royal Highness to GEMIC and to share this moment with her during her time in Siem Reap. Receiving such a distinguished guest is a memorable milestone for our institute, and a wonderful recognition of Cambodia’s place on the international gemstone map.
