Petalite meaning

Crystallizing in the monoclinic system. It’s a member of the feldspathoid group. It occurs as colorless, also grey, yellow, yellow grey, to white tabular crystals and columnar masses. Occurs in lithium-bearing pegmatites with spodumene, also lepidolite, and tourmaline.
